THE MOTHER’S WELL
"The strength of the mother should be tenderly cherished. Instead of spending her precious strength in exhausting labor, her care and burdens should be lessened." — The Adventist Home, p. 251.1
Motherhood is a daily pouring out, but you were not meant to run dry. This resource is an invitation to pause and refill your spirit. Find grace for the hard moments and the permission to nurture yourself so you can nurture them from a place of abundance.
Tool 1: The "Touched Out" Reset
Feeling like you might snap? You are overstimulated.
The 5-Minute Protocol:
1. Contain: Put toddler in a safe space (crib). They are safe, even if crying.
2. Retreat: Step into a bathroom. Close the door.
3. Ground: Splash cold water on face. Breathe.
4. Pray: "Lord, I am empty. Fill me."
Tool 2: The Anti-Perfection Shield
Simplicity is godliness. Reject the "Perfect Mom" lie.
"Is my child fed? Yes."
"Is my child loved? Yes."
"Then today is a success. I choose peace over a spotless home."
Tool 3: The "Brain Dump"
Anxiety comes from holding multiple tasks in your head. Write them down. Delegate one to your husband tonight.
Tool 4: Patience Fuel
Before you lose your temper, check your fuel. Mothers should not allow themselves to be deprived of air and sunshine.
Water: Have I had a glass of water recently?
Air: Step outside for 60 seconds. Oxygen calms the nerves.
Silence: Can I get 2 minutes of quiet (headphones if needed)?
